Poison – Mystery Temptation 7″

Poison Arts originally started out merely called „Poison“, and released some 7″es under that name. Mystery Tempation is their second ep, released in 1986. Its four songs are fast, somewhat melodic and metallic, a bit like the faster stuff by, say, Gastunk. If I am not mistaken, this 7″ should be the first release of Chelsea, who later played in Death Side and Paintbox, and whose extraordinary guitar playing made these bands so insanely great.

Get it!

Why did this band choose such horrible sleeves for their recordings? With such bad taste the music should be equally apalling. But strangely, and luckily, this is not the case. The Poison records that I‘ve heard till now are quite good. I‘ll try again with this one. Danke!
    Going for the third one…

Yeah, I can‘t really find a fitting word to describe the sleeve. The perspective on the arm carrying the gun is really off. But maybe that’s what happens when you let friends draw your album covers?
