Glycerin – … From The Depth 8″

Compilation tracks aside, this 8“ from 1987 on AA Records was Glycerin’s only release. They no longer play the noisy thrash like on ADK Omnibus Vol. 2, but changed their style to a slower paced punk with some metallic riffing, thumb-muting and soloing. Fun factoid: the longest song on this 8“ is longer than all of their tracks on ADK Omnibus Vol.2 combined.

That’s arithmetics for you.

Glycerin’s only release on vinyl, yes, but not their only release – in 1986 they did a tape called „Bad Trip“ which you can‘t find info about in discogs, rym or almost anywhere (well there’s one Jap. site at least) and that has surfaced and you can hear in the tube. It’s a C-46 tape with lots of songs apparently from different sources 1983-86. It includes some songs that appeared later in this EP. But among their other stuff (even songs from 1986) you can see that the „evolution“ is not that clear, they kept doing punk noisy short songs…

Thanks for the rip as usual, saludos :)

Cool, thanks a lot. I finally got around to listening to the tape. That’s some cool shit, I love this sort of raw, lo-fi noise!
